Our commitment
Isover has a strong commitment to reducing energy usage in our production
processes. By achieving the maximum 86% recycled content, we have reduced the
melter energy required during manufacture by an impressive 5% and therefore
reduced the product's embodied energy. As part of our continuous improvement
programme, we have invested in advanced technologies to reduce our
overall energy consumption by 20%.

The Facts
- The energy required to produce 1 tonne of Isover glass mineral wool releases about 800kg of CO2, but when installed the insulation more than makes up for this energy use!
- Over a typical 50 year installed lifespan, Isover insulation will save 300 tonnes of CO2 via reduced energy consumption.
- That's an enormous saving of 375 times more CO2 than is needed in manufacture!
